Matching Gift Opportunity – 2018 Annual Appeal

A sleep-deprived new mother looks for help training her baby to sleep.

A father of teenagers is applying to colleges while simultaneously trying to find in-home care for his elderly mother.

Parents of a child struggling with addiction need somewhere to turn.

These are just a few of the countless examples of why people reach out to The Family Center for help.

In this age of information, reliable, factual and trustworthy resources can be elusive. Thousands of people look to The Family Center monthly, attending presentations, viewing archived program videos, reading weekly Ask the Experts articles, linking to trusted referrals to find timely and relevant resources on our website and staying connected through social media outlets.

The Family Center helps people. Now in its 17th year, The Family Center has become a trusted resource, THANKS TO YOU, our generous donors and volunteers. The Family Center helps people and we need your ongoing support!

Today, and through December 31, 2018 your contribution to The Family Center will be matched. Through the generosity of its founder, Diane Strickler and her husband Ron Strickler, M.D., every dollar received will be doubled. Your $50 gift becomes $100, your $100 gift becomes $200!

Support our 15th Spring Appeal

by Kathy Leverenz and Debbie Liedel

Planting seeds more than 15 years ago, The Family Center has sown an impressive family tree. From our generous donors and volunteers; to association members, speakers and resources; to community partners including sites and media support, our branches are wide and strong.

Through these partnerships, which we truly consider part of The Family Center “family,” we are able to provide a far-reaching, wide-variety of programs and resources that people need in varying stages of life. We are committed to enriching the community with Ask the Experts Talks, Videos, Articles and newsletters, or trusted referrals.

Our programs support those who are facing the challenges of raising young children, guiding students through academic milestones, dealing with the difficult issues young adults experience, and helping family members care for ill or aging loved ones.

Family Center Spotlight

The Family Center is pleased to recognize Gail and Lois Warden as “philanthropists extraordinaire.”

Lois and Gail model the role of philanthropists as they have shared their financial support as well as time and talent. The Warden’s earliest gifts to The Family Center supported operations in a fledgling nonprofit, and their gifts continue to support programs to families and kids. Lois guided the transition of our signature fundraiser from a small event to our major gala event, the HOLLYFEST auction and dinner.
