How you can join the Family Center community of friends:
Donate financially with a monetary contribution or a planned gift. You can donate online (just click the button in the left column) or download our remittance envelope pdf for suggested donation levels.
Add The Family Center as your charity of choice to your Kroger Card – their Kroger Community Rewards Program will automatically benefit The Family Center at no cost to you. More information about Kroger Community Rewards…
Become a program sponsor. Our Play Central program provides a place for parents, grandparents and all caregivers to play with their children while socializing with others. We pay staff and provide amenities. Your sponsorship can help fund this program and improve the experience for our participants.
Host a 3rd party event or benefit. Many companies schedule an annual golf outing or other event that can benefit the Family Center. Call us today for ideas on how your group can get involved and benefit families and children right in your local community.
Support HOLLYFEST. Our annual signature event features a live and silent auction, great food and a terrific location at the Little Club. We look for support throughout the year to offset basic event costs (advertising, catering, etc) while we also seek unique and valuable items for the auctions.
Donate in-kind services. As a nonprofit organization, we have many needs that can be met by in-kind services from professionals and suppliers. Are you a financial adviser, lawyer, insurance specialist that wishes to reach out to your local community? Do you supply items that could be of use in our annual symposium or Partners in Parenting series of presentations? If so, the Family Center would be happy to hear from you.
Help with our Wish List. The Family Center can always use specific donations of useful office items: paper, pens, etc. A gift card from an office supply store like Staples or OfficeMax is always appreciated.
Volunteer. Every organization can use some volunteer help. For example, we occasionally distribute fliers to every school in the Grosse Pointe Public School system as well as local private and parochial schools. The fliers need to be counted and separated in batches for each school. Office help for these small tasks can save great amounts of time. There are many other ways to volunteer on a part-time basis and be a real, positive force in helping our local families and children grow to their greatest potential.
Write an “Ask the Experts” article. If you are a professional that wishes to have an article published on a topic of interest to families and children, contact us. Our weekly article appears in the Grosse Pointe News and is always available on our website – a valuable addition to the local community and a feather in your cap as a practicing professional.
Become a member of our Association of Professionals. An annual membership in the Family Center Association of Professionals provides a complete listing of your practice on our website. Your profile includes a photo and personal statement, your qualifications, practice specialties and more.
