Our Community Says Thank You

From the Director

“Thank you for for providing me with information to help assess my toddler’s needs…”

“Thank you for connecting me a professional to help us guide our adolescent…”

“Thank you for helping us locate services for my aging parent who has become challenged with his daily living routine…”

“Thank you for offering programs that help me be prepared for future issues that may arise in my family…”

“Thank you for being there…”

On the daily basis I have the privilege of being to be able to lead an organization that serves as a compass that guides by helping to point the right direction, helping to find a successful path, helping to navigate the challenges ahead.

I also have the privilege of working with an excellent team of engaged volunteers, professionals, community partners and representatives who lend their time and expertise and who are all a part of The Family Center map of resources.

Thank you to our donors who value the services we provide to those individuals and families seeking to enrich their lives.

This coming October, The Family Center enters its 13th year of service. As we embark on a new path of expanded programming, our board has refreshed The Family Center’s vision and mission statements to better reflect our purpose.

Vision: To enrich our community through stronger families

Mission: To serve our community through programs and resources vital to today’s families

A new, focused three-year strategic plan has been initiated. An exciting Enrichment Campaign – “Building a Stronger Community” – has emerged to ensure the growth of The Family Center through lasting financial stability of the organization.

As we also begin a new fiscal year, we welcome our new slate of Board members, Advisory Council members and volunteers. After six years as executive director, I remain in awe of the investment and expertise our community leaders bring to our committee work and projects, serving actively through their leadership and community ambassadorship. With a staff of 1.5, we rely solely on the support of more than 100 active volunteers.

As a nonprofit organization, we also rely solely on the support of community contributions. We stand ready to continue to serve our community through programs that enrich the lives of our community families. We ask that you stand ready to help support our efforts of building a stronger community!

Enriched Communities Through Stronger Families
The Family Center serves as the community’s hub for information, resources and referral for both families and professionals. The Family Center is a non-profit organization founded to promote a deeper understanding of the role of parents and others in supporting our youth to become competent, caring and responsible community members.
