Who Are Your Kids Listening to? Parent vs. Friend

Presented at Brownell Library on September 25, 2012 and led by Emily Robson and Anne Nearhood, our panel helped parents and tweens/teens better understand how communication skills can help every day. Mike Dib, PhD presented “Key Points on the Difference Between Students Entering Middle School and Leaving Middle School in Regards to Peer Expectations.” Erin Williams, LMSW presented “Tools for Parents: How to Talk to Your Tween/Teen Without Resistance.” Teens with the Grosse Pointe Congregational Church Youth Group presented their Public Serice Announcement video “Teen View on the Impact of Parents and Peer Expectations.”
